A/D: It is important to know about events happening around the world, even if it is unlikely that they will affect your daily life.

Raqqa(拉卡), a stronghold(据点，大本营) of the Islamic State in Syria, seems a terribly long way from the streets of Paris on a carefree Friday night. But the killings showed how easily violent idea crossed borders. Innocent lives are still at risk.This daunting(令人畏缩的) security challengedoeshold sobering lessons(引人深思的教训) that united effort from the international community is the key to fight terrorism and ensure the safety of people in all countries since no one knows who could be the next victim.
